Term 3 Recap

My Term 3
By: Zofia Burke

Changes:
One of the biggest changes in a classroom is that we started doing priorities. We have at least five priorities, -depending on how much time we have during the week- that you have to do each week, and you have to get them done before the end of the week. Another change that happened is that we have Maths, Reading, and Writing groups. We also have a times table so that we can know when we're gonna have our next group.

Holes:
For the WBS has got talent we are performing the song dig up, from the movie holes. During class, we have read the book, and know we are doing a performance in front of the whole school. Practising for the performance is fun, is because there are always new things for everyone to work on. Also, practising for the performance is fun, is because everytime we practice, it is always sounding better. I hope that  on this friday, the last day of term - or the last day of my first term - that we do a great job with not a bunch of mistakes.

New Games:
During this term we have learnt a lot of new games. The first one is Medics. The rules to this game are… well it is like Dodgeball except for that there are two people, the medics, those two people can tag the people that are down, and then those people will be back up. Medics is sort of like Annihilation too. The next new game that we learnt is called Ultimate Rounders. This game is sort of like baseball except there are obstacles, before you can get to the first, second, third, fourth, and home base.

Speeches:
We had to write a speech and present in this term. I really like this but getting up in front of the entire class was a little bit nerve-racking at first, but then after a couple people went I got less nervous. My speech was on; The Difference Between Living in New Zealand and the US.

Marae:
During this term we went on a trip to Marae. At the Marae, we had rotations. the rotations word, handball and skipping, going up kaiti Hill with Koka Rosie, transitional Maori String games, and a bunch of other fun Maori traditional games, if I told you it would always take at least one more page writing.

Tabloids:
During week 9 of term 3 on Wednesday we have tabloids day. It was really fun. I got to be the leader of my group. Each group went around to 10 rotations. my girl pointer Apple bobbing, three legged race, sack racing,  and a bunch of other really fun games. I can’t really remember them all because there are two days till the end of the term.

Rap Up
I think that this term was really fun. One of the hilites for me for the term is going to the Marae, and having tabloids day. They were really fun and I really enjoyed this hole term.
